East Coast Railway Apprentice Recruitment 2026: East Coast Railway (ECoR) has released a notification for 1599 Act Apprentice posts under the Apprentices Act, 1961. Eligible candidates who have passed 10th with 50% marks and ITI in the relevant trade can apply online from 26 August 2026 to 15 September 2026.

Qualification10th Pass: Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th Class) under the 10+2 system with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized Board as on 21 August 2026. Candidates whose results are awaited are not eligible.
ITI Qualification: Candidates must possess an ITI certificate in the relevant trade, affiliated with NCVT/SCVT, under the Apprentices Act, 1961.
Medical Laboratory Technician (Pathology): Candidates must have passed 12th Class with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) and secured a minimum of 50% marks in both 10th and 12th Class.
COPA & Secretarial Assistant: Candidates must possess an NTC certificate approved by NCVT/SCVT in the relevant trade.

Selection Procedure
Stage 1 – Merit Listing: Selection is based solely on a merit list prepared from the percentage of marks obtained in Matriculation (minimum 50% aggregate) – there is no written test or interview.
Stage 2 – Document Verification: A trade-wise and community-wise merit list is prepared; candidates are called for Document Verification (DV) at ECoR Headquarters, Bhubaneswar, based on merit in their preferred trade.
Stage 3 – Medical Fitness: Final selection is subject to verification of original documents and submission of a Medical Fitness Certificate.
