Post Matric Scholarship

The Post-Matric Scholarship in Odisha (widely managed under the PRERANA scheme) is a major financial aid initiative by the ST & SC Development, Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare Department. It assists students from economically weaker and marginalized categories pursuing education from Class 11 up to Ph.D. levels (including ITI, Diploma, Graduation, and Professional courses). The funding distribution ranges from ₹15,000 to over ₹1,20,000 per year, depending heavily on whether the applicant is a Day Scholar or a Hosteller, as well as their specific Course Group: Group I: Professional degrees like B.Tech, M.Tech, MBBS, MBA, MCA, Ph.D., and M.Phil. Group II: Nursing, Pharmacy, LLB, Hotel Management, and postgraduate degrees (MA, M.Sc, M.Com). Group III: General 3-year undergraduate degrees (+3 streams in Arts, Science, and Commerce). Group IV: Intermediate / Higher Secondary (+2), ITI, 3-year diplomas, and vocational courses.

1. Registration: Visit the Odisha State Scholarship Portal and select the registration option. Verify your identity using your Aadhaar number. 2.Form Filling: Complete your personal profile, academic information, institution details, and bank account parameters. 3.Document Upload: Attach your scanned PDFs and double-check all metrics before clicking submit. 4.Biometric Validation: Download the OSSP Face Authentication Mobile App to fulfill the mandatory facial verification identity check. 5.Tracking: You can click "Know Your Status" on the dashboard anytime to check if your application is pending with your college, the District Welfare Officer (DWO), or approved for payment disbursement.
